These galleries contain photographs taken over approximately 3 years. Most recent are the photographs from Trinidad and Tobago (Jan 2007), then Sabah in Borneo (May - June 2006) and prior to this a two week trip to Gambia in 2005.

In 2003-2004 I volunteered in Peru for Tambapata Expeditions at the Piedras Research Station in the Amazon Basin, an incredible place where I met and worked with some great people and experienced the unbelievable wildlife and jungle landscape of the Amazon basin. In Ecuador I volunteered with Zoobreviven at Alto Choco and also visited the Galapagos and Los Cedros reserves. Remarkable places with breathtaking terrain and wildlife.

The equipment I've used for digiscoping consist of a Nikon Coolpix 4500 (with remote) connected to a Zeiss Diascope 85FL (angled 25-60x zoom lens) using an EagleEye Digimount adapter and Slik tripod. Some pictures have also been taken with the EagleEye 5x telephoto lens. Recently I then began taking pictures using a Nikon D70 coupled with an old Nikon F8 1000mm lens. Then I combined the D70 with the Zeiss scope using a Scopetronix Maxview 40 plus and an old (but very bright) 1.4 Nikkor lens.

Now I use a D200 with a Nikkor F/5.6 lens and a Nikon 70-200mm F2.8 VR lens.

That is my current setup using a Gitzo (previously Manfrotto 443) tripod with a Manfrotto 393 head. Thanks very much for taking the time to look through these galleries. If you have any comments or questions please contact me.
